Licinius II, Caesar, 317-324. Follis (Bronze, 20 mm, 3.40 g, 12 h), Rome, circa 320. LICINIVS IVN NOB C Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Licinius II to right. Rev. VIRTV-S AVGG / P - R / R Q Campgate with open doors and four turrets. RIC 192. Extremely rare. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of Dr. L. Ramskold, formed since 1969.

This example is one of two known from officina Q, both in the Ramskold collection and offered here. Bruun misread the officina letters in the two Vienna examples, which are both, in fact, from officina P, not from S and Q.
